New Collection to be released on the 11th of February 2010. Among philatelists the visual arts are a favourite theme for postal services all over the world, and the Greek Postal Service has paid a tribute to art, with a landmark collection of stamps issued in 1977. Now, a new collection is about to be released (February 11), for which six works by acclaimed artists of the 20th century have been chosen: the "Multiple Portrait" (1968) by Giannis Gaitis (1923-1984); "Orpheus, Mercury and Eurydice," (1949) by Nikos Engonopoulos (1907-1985); "Erotic" (1982), by Yannis Moralis (1916-2009) (article photo) "Sailor Sitting at a Table" (1980) by Yannis Tsarouchis (1910-1989) "Lattice windows" (1956), by Nikos Hatzikyriakos-Ghika (1906-1994); and "The Drawing" (1938) by Diamantis Diamantopoulos (1914-1995).
