Summer in the Aegean The Movie - The Best from Greece

The movie, "Summer in the Aegean" will be released in April 2011.

They are obedient and hardworking. All they ask is to make no exception to their eating habits. That is why nearly two tons of fish arrived from the Netherlands to the Aegean islands to feed the perky pelicans which star in "Summer in the Aegean" (Un Eté grec).

This is a movie by Olivier Orle currently being filmed on the islands of Milos and Sifnos.

The Greek-Belgian-French production, which is based on the novel by Eric Boisset "Nicostratos," recounts the story of a teenager who befriends "Nicostratos," a pelican.

The role of the teenager’s father is performed by Emir Kusturica, who will be shooting in Greece until May.

Also starring, is the French-born Francois Xavier Demaison, known for his "adventures" in "Le petit Nicolas" film. Demaison attended the Athens 11th Francophone Film Festival.
