The perception of Greece as a brand has seriously declined in the United States since the start of the country's debt crisis, a study has shown. The research, conducted by Aloft Group Inc consultants, found that 75 percent of Americans think the financial meltdown has had a somewhat to extremely negative impact on Greece's image. A 63 percent had a somewhat to extremely positive opinion before the crisis. The number of those wishing to travel to Greece has dropped to 51 percent from 77 percent prior to the crisis.
