SFF-rated ATHENS, the International Sci-Fi & Fantasy Film Festival of Athens is organized by the Science Fiction Club of Athens, Greece (or “ALEF” for short). It started out in 2006 as a retrospective of Greek genre films, but it quickly evolved into a truly international event, always in the SFF-rated land of moving images, because:
“Science Fiction & Fantasy is where imagination doesn’t just play the game -it makes the rules. Join us“.
That’s our mission statement. We soak the audience in Absinth(e), too.
Foreign correspondence: SFF-rated ATHENS 2012 Calls for Entries! For the March 2012 event we have added a new film category, Fan Films (shorts only), to check how your favorite SFF worlds inspire you. Also, we bluntly err on the side of filmmakers whose previous submission was selected to screen with us: if yours was, then you are entitled to a full waiver fee for the film that you are about to submit. Contact us to obtain the fee waiver code.
We ‘ll be talking.
