
Christmas concerts at the Acropolis Museum - The Best from Greece | ||||

Posted on: 16/Dec/2011 - Christmas will be celebrated at the Acropolis Museum with three music concerts, to be held on December 22, December 23 and December 29.
The first concert, on December 22 at 5pm, on the second-floor balcony with the view of the Archaic hall, will involve a performance of works by composer Marios Strofalis.
On December 23, in the Museum's lobby at 5pm, the Athens Municipality Symphony Orchestra will perform excerpts from Carmen, Don Giovanni, the Magic Flute, the Bat and the Nutcracker.
At the same time on December 29, again on the second floor balcony, the Audio String Quartet will perform excerpts of classical, romantic and neoromantic works.
The Acropolis Museum will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day (December 26) and New Year's Day. On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve it will be open from 8am to 3pm.
The Acropolis Museum restaurant will remain open every day during working hours and every Friday it will remain open until midnight. (AMNA)
