ALCO HELLAS SA was established in 1990 and its main premises are in Aspropyrgos, Greece. Its facilities occupy an area of 12,300 sqm and its main industrial equipment comprises 2 extrusion presses with an annual production of 18,000 tons, a cutting-edge scrap recycling foundry and a 2-booth vertical electrostatic painting unit. Its laboratory equipment also includes an imitation wood painting unit, a physiochemical waste-processing unit with zero liquid waste and a unit for processing and riveting of thermal break profiles. The company has been listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1997.
Our products Sliding Systems Alousystem 100 is ALCO’s classic system for sliding aluminium frames. Present in the market for many years, ALCO is constantly expanding and adding to its range. The attentive design of the series guarantees insulation, air- and water-tightness, correct and easy operation. The fact that the frames can be very easily and quickly constructed guarantees time savings and increased productivity for the constructor. The guides in the Alousystem 100 have curved covers of different sizes, and the required gradient in the low flat section for rapid water drainage even under adverse weather conditions. The rollers are adjustable, of large diameter and Teflon-coated, for smooth, easy and noise-free rolling of the sliding system. The profiles that are used for glass panes are produced in three different heights, for single or multi-locking, with or without rolling bar, providing greater security. The inox Alousystem 100 is a system for sliding aluminium frames, whose guide has a stainless steel rod with a curved upper surface for better quality of rolling and noise-free operation. The rollers are specially designed so that the leaf is sunken 2.5 mm deeper inside the guide thus maintaining high levels of air- and water-tightness of the frame. The inox Alousystem 100 has the same design philosophy as the Alousystem 100. The Ecoline 600 series is based on the philosophy of the Αlousystem 100 series and constitutes the perfect solution for constructing sliding light-duty frames. The Ecoline 600 series comprises a small number of moderate-dimension, lightweight profiles with great construction possibilities. Ecoline 600 (straight cut) This comprises a group of profiles included in the Ecoline 600, which are used in the construction of sliding frames with straight cut (90ο). There are guides for one and two panel successive or pocket sliding, whose cutting and assembly is much simpler than in the case of the 45ο cut. Almost all processing and all basic beading for the jointing of guides and panels is done by pressing machine and in the absence of classical corners (since jointing is done by screws), thus achieving a solution for mass production that is not only functional and of high quality, but also rapid. The IRIS LIGHT 10 series of the sliding systems corresponds to the IRIS LIGHT 40 series of the hinged frames. Opening Systems Alousystem 200 is ALCO’s classic system for hinged aluminium frames. Present in the market for many years, ALCO is constantly expanding and adding to its range. The leaves of this series have a characteristic design, a combination of straight and curved sections, which in association with the corresponding frames give the system its special look. The Alousystem Plus 45 series is one of the most advanced series for hinged frame construction. The profiles have been designed on the basis of the Camera Europea system, like all ALCO’s opening systems, thus providing a wide range of fittings to choose from. The Alousystem Plus 45 series has been tested at the international Istedil SPA institute in Italy with excellent results. The leaves are produced in different heights for interior and exterior opening systems, the largest of which can accommodate 35 cm locks. They have two inner chambers to facilitate water drainage, whereas their external face has the characteristic curved design. The series comprises both straight and curved frames and the range is complemented by all the necessary auxiliary profiles, for swivel systems, fixed or variable angles. Water- and air-tightness is achieved with 2 or 3 series of EPDM gaskets, which are all of the snap-on type for ease of mounting. GROUPAL’s IRIS 400 system is a classic opening system with a wide range of available profiles. It is chosen for hinged window constructions which have a multitude of possibilities. The GROUPAL’s ORION 4000 system is chosen mainly for the construction of traditional wood-imitation frames. It makes it possible to construct frames with outer covers that have a wood-grain effect (on both the interior and exterior surface), which, combined with wood tone paint, provides the unparalleled sensation of a wooden frame. The profiles in this series are riveted together mechanically with an 18 mm wide polyamide strip to produce a sturdy structure. The Alousystem 300 collaborates with the profiles of the Αlousystem 100 series, such as leaves for shutters, insect screens and covers resulting in high quality and rapid construction while at the same time economizing on weight, when and where required. Alousystem Curtain Wall Standard is a system for fixed and projecting glazing suitable for building facades. This classic system comprises mullions and transoms with visible sides, 60 mm (internal) width, and snap-on caps of 60 mm width for the outer part of the construction. The mullions come in different heights making it possible to meet all static requirements. The system is complemented by the appropriate profiles for projecting glazing, which are designed in such a way as to minimize the difference in height between the fixed and projecting part, for uniform external appearance. A wide range of construction applications are possible, such as fixed glazing, which can accommodate different thicknesses of glass panels, from just 8 mm to double glazing of 26 mm total thickness. Profiles are also available for finishes, installation of hinged windows and angular constructions of any degree angles. The Alousystem Curtain Wall Semi Structural system follows the trends of modern architecture which aspire towards minimizing externally visible aluminium. The same 60 mm wide mullions are used for the vertical sections as in the STANDARD, whereas for the horizontal elements a light-duty type of Tee is employed. Thus the weight of the glass panels is distributed only to the vertical mullions whereas the tee is used for the sole purpose of air- and water-tightening, which is achieved by three EPDM gaskets. The profiles are designed in such a way that their external face is totally symmetrical and so that the fixed sections are indistinguishable from the projecting ones. Finishing profiles and profiles for angular constructions of any degree angles are also available. GROUPAL’s BOXER system is an economical and easy solution for the construction of standard, traditional shutters. It employs simple fittings such as those used in wooden shutters. Thanks to external hinges and simple bolts it is possible to construct a shutter very quickly and economically. The blind profiles are available in a wide range of designs and dimensions to meet every construction need and offering consistently unparalleled aesthetic appeal.
The Alousystem 700 series was created in response to the need for functional and rapid arrangement of modern living spaces. The Alousystem 700 series uses, for vertical and horizontal elements, a basic profile which does not need to be painted since it is not used in a visible part of the construction. Said profile is used in combination with different straight and curved snap-on caps and with additional profiles for two single windows, the distance between which permits installation of interior blinds. It is also possible to install an aluminium door, from the Alousystem Plus 45 series, or a 45 mm thick pressed wood door. Another practical solution is offered by the Χ 713 and Χ 714 profiles, which are specially formed to accommodate internal electrical wiring, while sockets for electrical or telephone cables can be screwed to the top of the externally mounted flat cap. Apart from the basic profiles, additional profiles are available for 3 or 4-point intersections, angular constructions with various degree angles, and profiles for different floor to ceiling/suspended ceiling, heights. The Alousystem 700 series offers an integrated solution since it is quicker and easier to install than the branch construction. This system enables construction of a rolling insect screen, built into the frame casing, lending functionality and aesthetic appeal. The Alousystem 800 is the first series to enable the construction of folding frames with an even number of leaves, using a single roller hinge, thus providing an additional solution. Gutbond easy offers a wide variety of solutions in the area of interior decorating (corporate image, industry, signs). It comprises 2 sheets of polyester-painted aluminium with a polyethylene “sandwich” insert and is protected by plastic film. Its main use is for covering buildings and related constructions. It is certified to the German standards for fire resistance building material Class B2 by the MPA STUTTGART (Materials testing Institute of the University of Stuttgart) and accompanied by all relevant certifications. The ALCO group, pioneer in aluminium extrusion and processing, has now created GUTBOND, a composite panel suitable for cladding exterior facades. GUΤBOND is created by welding aluminium sheets to polyethylene and offers a combination of winning characteristics. Although light in weight, it is nevertheless particularly resistant and guarantees a perfect finish. In addition, it is well able to withstand vibrations, it does not corrode, it is highly resistant to breakage and deformation, and moreover it is soundproof. As a material, GUTBOND, does not pollute the atmosphere and is totally recyclable. The panel is 4 mm thick and comes in a variety of sizes.
