AMERICAN alternative rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform in Athens for the first time, at the Olympic Stadium, on 4 September 2012. The band recently announced the extension of their world tour to include selected European cities. Another major date on the concert timetable is 1 July 2012, when Black Sabbath - the British group that created the heavy-metal genre - is scheduled to headline the Rockwave Festival at the Terravibe Park in Malakasa, northeast of Athens. Ozzy Osbourne is set to lead the original lineup, which is booked to appear at Europe’s biggest music festivals and presently recording their first studio album in 33 years. Admission ranges from 35 to 82.50 euros for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and 45 to 58 euros (65 euros at the door) for Black Sabbath. Tickets are available from Ticket House (42 Panepistimiou St) or online via www.tickethouse.gr or www.ticketpro.gr
